Gal Bensaadon grew up working for his family’s small construction company, but when it was time to venture out on his own, he chose to pursue a law career. Even as he prepared to embark on law school, his passion for construction and transforming client’s dreams into reality brought him back to his roots. He decided to shelf his desire to become a lawyer and, instead, attend the University of Florida’s prestigious Rinker School for Construction to obtain his master’s degree in Building Construction.

From there, Gal joined Trigram GC, a boutique commercial construction firm in South Miami, where he worked as project manager for nearly 10 years. He specialized in historic preservation and led the renovation of some of South Florida’s well-known landmarks, including Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, the Gusman Theater and the Fairfax Hotel on South Beach.

With his formal education, hands-on experience and his business savvy gained through watching his parents run their construction business, Gal turned his sights to launching Red Door Construction in 2015. As the symbolic red door of Civil War-era America conveys, clients who come to Red Door Construction will be met with a superb focus on customer service, anchored in the firm’s guiding principles of honesty, security and always “doing right” for the clients.

Adhering to these guiding principles, Red Door has been awarded and begun construction on some highly visible projects in South Florida. These include Iron Chef Morimoto’s new Wynwood restaurant Momosan and a $20 million adaptive re-use office building and shopping center project in Palm Beach, which features a big-box grocer, Starbucks and a pedestrian bridge over Brightline’s FEC railway.

Gal and the Red Door team know that clients have thousands of choices in general contractors, but with a comprehensive knowledge of construction and a strong commitment to customer service and the bottom line, Red Door will bring your vision to life.

An active member of the community, Gal serves on the Executive Boards of Make-A-Wish Southern Florida and Dade Heritage Trust and supports many local charities. [Link to Community Involvement page]. Gal also enjoys training for marathons, playing football and soccer and exercising with his CrossFit family. He and his wife Kali have twin boys, Asher and Chase, and a daughter, Noa. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Hebrew.
